Hypnotherapy and Morning Sickness

Apparently Kate Middleton is using Hypnotherapy to remove any negative associations she has with food and to replace it with the desire for healthy foods.

Kate Middleton’s morning sickness is acute (also known as hyperemesis gravidarun) and only about 1 to 2% of women experience such an extreme condition.  Where as morning sickness is common especially in the first 3 months for 70 – 80% of pregnant women.

A number of studies have been carried out to determine the effectiveness of Hypnotherapy for morning sickness, which have shown promising results.  The University of Belfast, Northern Island, completed six different studies.  The Mayo Clnic has argued that studies have produced mixed results.

SO HOW CAN HYPNOTHERAPY HELP WITH MORNING SICKNESS?

Basically the trance induces deep relaxation and through positive suggestions, the association of food to nausea is rewired.  A positive association is formed to healthy food.

As Hypnotherapy is totally NATURAL it is a good alternative treatment for morning sickness in pregnancy.
