NEURO-LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING (NLP)
What is NLP? NLP is how to use the language of the mind to consistently
achieve our specific and desired outcomes.
Neuro: The nervous system (the mind), through which our experience is processed via
five senses: Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Olfactory, Gustatory.
Linguistic: Language and other nonverbal communication systems through which our neural representations are coded, ordered and given meaning. Includes: Pictures, Sounds, Feelings, Tastes, Smells, Words (Self Talk).
Programming: The ability to discover and utilize the programs that we
run (our communication to ourselves and others) in our neurological systems to achieve our specific and desired outcomes.
Neuro Linguistic Programming is a by-product of hypnosis that offers particularly quick and effective techniques for removing limiting beliefs and negative emotions that block and hold you back in life. Through the creative use of language, long standing issues such as never feeling good enough, fear of failure, guilt, anger, hurt etc, can be broken through or even eliminated within minutes.
Additionally, NLP techniques have been successfully applied to eliminate phobias, quitting smoking and emotional traumas, for example, rape. Through the use of very skilled visualization techniques, the past is reprogrammed and a positive future created.
NLP allows you to change, adopt or eliminate behaviours as you desire and gives you the ability to choose your mental, emotional and physical states of well-being. By understanding and modeling your own successes, you can create more success.
TIME LINE THERAPY was developed as an additional technique in the vast range of NLP techniques. Time Line Therapy utilizes a person’s own internal “Time Line” to work with their unconscious minds in a variety of ways: including, healing emotional traumas and eradicating unwanted thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
Your “Time Line” is how you unconsciously store your memories or how you unconsciously know the difference between a memory from the past and a projection of the future. Behavioural change in an individual takes place at an unconscious level. People don’t change consciously. The Time Line Therapy techniques allow you to work at the unconscious level and release the effects of past negative experiences and change “inappropriate” programming in minutes rather than days, months or years.
You will look at the “root cause” of the event, release any negative emotions and limiting decisions; and then focus on creating a compelling future. Time Line Therapy will allow you to gain emotional control of your life. Time Line Therapy techniques enable you to eliminate many types of issues in your past thus allowing you to move forward towards your goals and desires.
