Clinical Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a method of inducing trance in order to treat disorders mainly on a

psychological or emotional origin.  It is used to help change behaviour patterns and may

be used to treat a wide range of problems like quitting smoking as well as to enhance

natural abilities like sports performance.  By promoting positive change and healing

while the client is in a hypnotic state, hypnotherapy speeds up the process which

otherwise in traditional psychotherapy would take years to achieve.

The aim is to re-programme patterns of behavior within the mind whilst under hypnosis

enabling irrational fears, phobias, negative thoughts and suppressed emotions to be

overcome.  Hypnotherapy is also used to regress the client to gain an understanding of the cause of the problem, which is pivotal to the clients healing. Integrating hypnotherapy with other forms of therapy like NLP and EFT often leads to deeper reaching, more lasting effects and results, than simply using hypnotherapy on its own.

When you are in trance, positive words or suggestions are directed in a way that allows your inner mind to solve your problems or change your life the way you want it to be.

The hypnotherapist helps you use the incredible power of your own mind to achieve those changes in your life which you desire.  This could be stopping smoking, losing weight, controlling stress, gaining confidence and happiness, increasing study and recall abilities, increasing speed of recovery from an injury, even excelling at your natural abilities as in golf.

You will at all times be aware of where you are and what you are doing and you will only go along with suggestions that are compatible with your needs and your ethics.  You will be in control and it is impossible to make you do or reveal something that you don’t want to do or reveal.

Hypnotherapy has long been known for its effectiveness to help people stop smoking and other forms of habit control.  However, it’s effectiveness in working with pain control, and improving success rates with IVF programs are just a few of the many other documented and researched areas.  In fact, with a success rate of over 80%, hypnotherapy is now becoming a leading treatment and preferred choice.
